Rabbi Dr. Reuven Kimelman specializes in the history of Judaism with a focus on the history and poetics of the Jewish liturgy.
In the field of Jewish ethics, his focus is on the ethics of war, statecraft, conflict, and genocide. He has written extensively on his mentor, Abraham Joshua Heschel.
Reuven has brought a significant contribution to our understanding of tefillah and its Kabbalistic influence with his book The Mystical Meaning of Lekhah Dodi and Kabbalat Shabbat.

These dinners provide a unique opportunity for both members and visitors to celebrate Shabbat together in a lively and inviting setting. Attendees can expect delicious food, lots of singing, and inspiring words of Torah from the world-renowned scholars-in-residence who join us for these dinners.
