Deeply rooted in the mystical traditions of Chassidut—including the worlds of Chabad and Reb Tzadok along with the struggle to become a Gadol in Torah learning in the litvish model of his yeshiva —Rav Kook developed an expansive and daring worldview shaped by the profound upheavals taking place around him. His extraordinary empathy for the many Jewish and non Jewish movements emerging in his generation allowed him to see beyond division and conflict. He absorbed the tensions, aspirations, and anxieties of his age and transformed them into a revolutionary spiritual vision. Rav Kook emerged as a poet, mystic, philosopher, revolutionary, and deeply sensitive soul—a thinker whose inner struggles and spiritual passions continue to challenge and inspire us today. Join us as we revisit the life, thought, and enduring spiritual legacy of Rav Kook on the occasion of his Yahrtzeit. The Shiur will also be broadcast on Zoom; for Zoom information, please email:[email protected]
